This great horned owl was found emaciated and smelling of skunk. Had a stain on one of its wings, presumably from the skunk.
It also had an infected wound on one of its feet. The wound was cleaned and the owl was put on antibiotics until it healed. It was in care from November 2016 until April 2017.
The owl was returned to the location it was found. It was a bit hesitant upon release but soon took to the air and disappeared from view.
