Wildlife X-Posed is a new book created by Cobequid Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre’s (CWRC) co-founder Murdo Messer. The book is the culmination of years of photographic work with the centre where Murdo saw an opportunity to capture something really unique.
 
While assisting his late wife and CWRC co-founder, Dr. Helene Van Doninck, X-raying a bald eagle patient he envisioned taking a photograph from the same position as the X-ray and then combining them in software to see what it would look like. The result was a revealing and unique look inside and out, above and below the fur and feathers of wildlife in the care of the CWRC.
 
Wildlife X-Posed is a full colour photobook highlighting 15 of the CWRC’s patients through X-rays and photographs. A percentage of the sales from the book goes to the CWRC to help the organization continue their important work helping wildlife in Nova Scotia.
