Hummingbird

Hummingbird

This little hummingbird struck a window and was rescued by a local resident. It was placed in a box with a hummingbird feeder before contacting CWRC. Unforunately, the feeder spilled and the bird became coated with sugar water. This made it virtually impossible for it to fly or stay warm and this quickly turned into a critical situation for the bird. He was brought to CWRC where he was given a gentle bath with warm water to remove the sugar water. He was then placed under a heat lamp and within minutes he was flying around normally. He was later released back into his known territory and within minutes was visiting local hummingbird feeders.
