American Bald Eagle

This American Bald Eagle came to the CWRC in October with a broken wing and lead poisoning. She spent 4 weeks at the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI having her wing fixed and was released on the morning of January 18th, 2009 in Truro, Nova Scotia. In the slide show the first few pictures show her upon admission to our rehabilitation centre, then there are pictures of the release site where many other eagles are present. Next the release! She shot out of the box and flew so strongly...it was LOVELY to see her go. The odds were stacked against her but she was tough. We wish her well :)
